Fresh uncertainty has hit government formation in Tamil Nadu as IUML denied extending support to TVK chief C. Joseph Vijay.
IUML said it has not given any letter of support to TVK. Meanwhile, AMMK leader TTV Dhinakaran submitted a letter backing AIADMK’s Edappadi K. Palaniswami as Chief Minister.
The scheduled swearing-in today has been postponed. Vijay, who met the Governor yesterday claiming majority, is still short of the magic number of 118.
Tamil Nadu, which saw over 85% voter turnout, is yet to get a new government.
