United Kingdom Named Country Partner for Hornbill Festival 2025 in Nagaland

The Government of Nagaland has announced the United Kingdom as the official country partner for the Hornbill Festival 2025, scheduled to take place from December 1 to 10 at Kisama near Kohima.

A formal agreement was signed in New Delhi by Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio and Alison Barrett in the presence of British High Commissioner Lindy Cameron. Under the partnership, the British Council will curate special cultural programmes and bring artists from the UK to participate in the festival.

The state has also named Air India Express as the festival’s Official Travel Partner. The airline will introduce a Boeing 737-8 aircraft featuring artwork inspired by the traditional Tsüngkotepsü warrior shawl of the Ao Naga tribe.

Additionally, Air India Express will offer a 15 percent discount on flights to and from Nagaland starting November 20. The partnerships are expected to boost tourism, cultural exchange, and economic growth in the state. Source: News On Air
