Britain’s King Charles and Queen Camilla arrived in the United States for a four-day visit and were welcomed in Washington DC by President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump.
During their visit, they toured the White House gardens, including the beehives established in 2009, which produce honey and house around 70,000 bees in summer.
The visit coincides with the 250th anniversary of the US Declaration of Independence. King Charles is also scheduled to address the US Congress. It comes amid recent security concerns and ongoing differences between the US and UK over the Iran conflict and West Asia tensions.
