Union Home Minister Amit Shah stated that the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) has earned the trust of 140 crore Indians within just 20 years.
Speaking at the President’s Colour award ceremony in Ghaziabad, Shah noted that people breathe a sigh of relief whenever NDRF personnel arrive at a disaster site. He emphasized that receiving the President’s Colours is a matter of immense pride, acknowledging the force’s dedication alongside the SDRF, state machinery, and ‘Aapada Mitra’ volunteers.
Shah highlighted that wherever the NDRF has served globally, they have earned both love and trust. He concluded that the last two decades are not just years of proud achievements, but a testament to the force’s commitment to duty, truly earning this presidential honour.
