C. Joseph Vijay is set to expand the Tamil Nadu cabinet today with the induction of senior Congress leaders Rajesh Kumar and P. Viswanathan.
The swearing-in ceremony will be held at Lok Bhavan at 10 am, where Vishwanath Arlekar will administer the oath of office and secrecy to the new ministers.
The cabinet expansion marks a significant political development, as Congress members are joining the Tamil Nadu state cabinet for the first time since 1967. Several senior Congress leaders, including P. Chidambaram and Manickam Tagore, welcomed the move and described it as an important step toward coalition governance in the state.
