
Nitin Gadkari reviewed the progress of highway quality and maintenance projects in Tripura, Arunachal Pradesh, and Sikkim during a meeting held in New Delhi.
During the review meeting, the minister stressed the need for timely project execution and the use of advanced technologies to develop sustainable and efficient highways, aiming to improve regional connectivity and commuter convenience.
Mr Gadkari also directed officials to strengthen monsoon preparedness through preventive measures and effective emergency response systems to maintain road safety and durability during the rainy season. He emphasised accountability and outcome-driven implementation to ensure the long-term performance of national highway infrastructure.
In a social media post, the minister said the review was conducted based on feedback received through media reports and social media platforms. Ministers of State Ajay Tamta and Harsh Malhotra, along with senior officials, were also present at the meeting.
