Iran’s Envoy Describes Tensions with Israel-US as ‘No War, No Peace’, Reaffirms Strong Ties with India

Iran’s Supreme Leader’s representative in India, Abdul Majeed Hakeem Ilahi, has described the current standoff between Iran and the Israel-US alliance as a state of “no war, no peace.” Speaking at a press conference in Bengaluru, he said Iran did not seek conflict but was compelled to respond to continued attacks, while negotiations are expected to continue.

He called for immediate de-escalation, stating that global stability depends on those who initiated the hostilities, and noted that conditions inside Iran remain stable with daily life continuing normally.

On India-Iran relations, Mr. Ilahi stressed the two nations share over 5,000 years of ties rooted in education, philosophy, culture, and trade. He cited Iran’s facilitation of Indian ships through the Strait of Hormuz as a reflection of the strong bilateral relationship, expressing confidence that ties will continue to grow stronger.
