Israel and Lebanon will resume negotiations with two days of intensive US-facilitated talks on May 14 and 15.
According to the US State Department, both sides will work towards a comprehensive peace and security agreement. The discussions will focus on border delineation, humanitarian relief, reconstruction, and the full restoration of Lebanese sovereignty.
The US emphasised that lasting peace requires the complete disarmament of Hezbollah and the restoration of full Lebanese state authority across its territory.
