Iran Replies to US Proposal on West Asia War

Iran has formally submitted its response to the latest US proposal to end the war in West Asia, state media reported Sunday.

The move comes as US envoy Steve Witkoff and Secretary of State Marco Rubio met Qatar’s prime minister amid the conflict now in its third month.

Rising Tensions

Israeli strikes killed at least 22 people in Lebanon, including four children. Hezbollah responded with attacks on Israeli forces despite a fragile ceasefire.

In the Strait of Hormuz, Iran warned it will target US assets if its vessels are attacked and threatened ships from countries enforcing US sanctions. A bulk carrier was struck near Qatar, while Kuwait and the UAE intercepted drones from Iran.

Britain is deploying HMS Dragon to help keep the strait open.
