
The Central Bureau of Investigation has taken Shubham Khairnar into custody in connection with the alleged NEET-UG 2026 paper leak case. He was detained in Nashik by Maharashtra Police following a request from Rajasthan Police. The NEET-UG 2026 exam, conducted on May 3 for medical admissions, was cancelled amid allegations of widespread irregularities and paper leaks.
In Latur, a parent alleged that a coaching institute conducted a mock test containing 42 questions similar to those in the actual exam. Meanwhile, Rajasthan Police’s Special Operations Group has detained 15 people, including alleged mastermind Manish from Jaipur. The CBI has also questioned several suspects in Jaipur and nearby areas. Amid the growing controversy, the Rajasthan Congress announced statewide protests demanding strict action.
